FOR WOMEN

“There are only three colors, ten digits, and seven notes; it’s what we do with them that’s important.” ~~   Ruth Ross, Author

Tip of the week:  Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator, not only will you increase your steps, but you will also be building stronger bones and muscles.

For Your Health

Bone Health is this week’s health topic.  Did you know that our bones grow until the age of 25?  Did you know drinking soda pop can affect your bone mass?  The critical years for building bone mass are from pre-adolescence to age 30.  It is possible for women of all ages to increase and protect their bone mass - a very important factor in preventing the bone disease osteoporosis. Visit this website for more information about how to take care of your bones:

FOR GIRLS

Tip of the week:  Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator, not only will you increase your steps, but you will also be building stronger bones and muscles too!

For You

Bone Health

Do you know that to have stronger bones for the rest of your life means you have to build them now?! Some experts believe that young women can increase their bone mass (good stuff) by as much as 20% by exercising and getting enough calcium. Increasing bone mass reduces the risk of osteoporosis, a disease that makes a person’s bones weak which means they are more likely to get bone fractures or even breaks.  Check out this link for more information about how to make and keep your bones strong:

You go, girls.  You just go.  (But don’t go without your calcium!)
