The Witness Project® is seeking breast and cervical cancer survivors who are interested in educating women by sharing their stories, as well as all women who are interested in volunteering as lay health advisors.
All team members participate in an 8-hour training to prepare them to educate women in the community.
Witness Role Models (WRM)
WRM are breast and cervical cancer survivors who are trained to assist in increasing
the awareness of breast and cervical cancer in the African American community
by sharing their stories of survival.
Lay Health Advisors (LHA)
Anyone interested in advocating for women's health. You must be willing to
participate in our training session, feel confident speaking at community
programs to teach others the challenges of staying healthy, and willing to
develop new skills and meet new people.
